While it wasn't entirely the same situation, what happened to her sort of reminds me of Go For Wand and Bayakoa. I'm glad Indyanne's fate won't be the same as Go For Wand's.
Happy New Year, Mary! When you run into Carla again, please tell her "Great job" for me re: POINT ENCOUNTER. The last time a colt made my hair stand like PE was when I saw ROCK HARD TEN's debut win. Do you know if she's got an allowance race picked out for him or will she put him into a stakes race right away? He defeated a colt that will be a stakes horse IMO so the win was no garden-variety maiden victory. That runner-up is out of talented SILENT SIGHS. My only worry about PE is the presence of front wraps. I'm thinking that he's a late-bloomer and a big boy, so Gaines is trying to protect his still-developing legs. Great stuff. I'm looking forward to little INDYANNE's in the future :)!
