Update on The Pamplemousse

The Pamplemousse returns from a gallop on Monday morning at Santa Anita.

The Pamplemousse looked fabulous returning from a two-mile gallop on the main track at Santa Anita this morning. With the Santa Anita Derby less than two weeks away, it's great to see him looking fit and well filled out. He was, of course, as relaxed as ever as he walked leisurely back to trainer Julio Canani's barn.

The 'Mousse is scheduled for a workout Wednesday morning, and I hope to catch a video of that to post on this blog.

Funny, a track friend just called and said, "How's the P?" and I said "no news."

Then I thought I'd check here.

It's been so interesting to watch how his body has filled out over the last months. especially the back end.

Looking forward to Wed. workout, hope you catch it!

Beautiful horse! I've been saving money to purchase one. I would love to have the same race. It's the best, and everyone knows that fact. By the way, what's the Santa Anita Derby?

Hi Levitra! The Santa Anita Derby, for 3-year-olds at a mile and one-eighth, is a leading West Coast prep race for the Kentucky Derby each year. It has been won by such greats as Free House, A.P. Indy, Snow Chief, Affirmed, Sham, Silky Sullivan, and Swaps. It is normally held on the first Saturday of April at Santa Anita.
