Happy Halloween from Santa Anita!

It was quite the scene at Santa Anita this Halloween morning, with the combination of the scary decorations at Clockers' Corner and the throngs of people watching Breeders' Cup horses go through their morning exercise!

Happy Halloween from Clockers' Corner Santa Anita

Rosie Ybarra the zombie

Things are looking pretty spooky at Clockers’ Corner these chilly mornings. Thanks to server Rosie Ybarra – the well-known maven of Clockers’ Corner who serves up yummy concoctions to trainers, riders, owners and race fans every morning – there is no shortage of Halloween spirit at the iconic Santa Anita breakfast spot.

Ybarra traditionally decorates her food service window and much of the surrounding area to celebrate the holiday. Her enthusiasm is infectious, and jockeys and trainers often join in the fun with their own spooky costumes. Enjoy the photos!

Happy Halloween from Santa Anita

It may have been sunny and 80 degrees, but there was no shortage of Halloween spirit at Santa Anita today. Early this morning trainers, riders, owners and fans were greeted by Rosie Ybarra, the maven of Clockers' Corner, who not only appeared at her food service window in a ghoulish costume, but also had arrived early to decorate the entire area with Halloween spooks.

Jockey David Flores was quite a spectre, riding by with his face painted to resemble a hideous skeleton. This afternoon, he even appeared in the winner's circle in character.

And Santa Anita hornblower, Jay "Herman Munster" Cohen entertained racing fans by calling horses to the post in a monster mask.
