I paid Indyanne a visit this morning at her stall at Santa Anita. It was great to see her looking so good and comfortable, and chomping away on her hay. A decision has not been released yet about when she will be moved to owner Sikura's farm in Kentucky, but she's likely to be here at least another five or six days.
Indyanne was pulled up in the stretch by jockey Russell Baze after she took a bad step during the running of the La Brea Stakes at Santa Anita on Saturday. She suffered a fractured sesamoid in her left foreleg. The injury will not require surgery, and she will be sent to Kentucky for her new life as a broodmare.
We're pulling for you, Indyanne!

I got to see her run at Calder this summer. She's a terrific horse. I'll be looking for her offspring in about 3 years.
She is very special. And how about Victorina? I was so happy to see her win so impressively for Greg Gilchrist; he needed that!
