Auctioneer Ryan Mahan Discusses Horse Sales at Barretts
We caught auctioneer Ryan Mahan at the consignment barn of Andy Havens Bloodstock at Barretts Equine in Pomona just prior to the May Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale, where he graciously spoke to a group of potential buyers at a TOC seminar about some of the finer points of horse auctions.
Mahan discusses his own experience and how he got into the business of auctioneering, explains the basic auction process, and gives some advice to new buyers. Enjoy!

can you post the whole session the TOC put on at the Barretts
Anon, TOC videotaped the entire panel session that was held in the Barretts Sales Pavilion. There are plans to make it available on the TOC website, along with other seminar videos, in the near future. You can check the TOC website at www.toconline.com. Also, if you have a Facebook or Twitter account, you can follow TOC's updates and get an announcement when a new video is posted!
