Monba Schooling for Todd Pletcher



Trainer Todd Pletcher schooled Monba, winner of the Grade 1 Bluegrass Stakes at Keeneland in 2008, at Santa Anita on Friday morning. Monba runs in Saturday's $1 million Santa Anita Handicap. Edgar Prado has the mount for owners Starlight Stable, Lucarelli & Saylor.

Blue Exit Schools for Big 'Cap at Santa Anita



I had the pleasure of watching this big, beautiful colt school for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer during the 2nd race at Santa Anita Thursday. He looked absolutely smashing as he went through the paces in preparation for Saturday's $1 million Santa Anita Handicap.

Blue Exit was runner-up to Cowboy Cal in the Grade 2 Strub Stakes at Santa Anita on Feb. 7. For anyone who likes to play hunches, I might add that I recently dreamt about a blue horse....
